Now I know why Shetlands are so popular with young riders. Many thanks to Sienna, her mum Emily and Claire at Blackwater Equestrian. (Sienna was a little angel in front of the camera.)
This was my first shoot with Daisy and Blackberry. I was also using my studio lights in a different way for the first time. Very pleased with how it went and I learnt a few things as well. Thanks Daisy.
Poppy seeds require sunlight to germinate so when a field is ploughed (with no pre-emergent weedkiller used) the seeds are exposed to the sun and you get new poppies growing. The year after the war the whole of the Somme must have looked like this. A lovely but sad thought that each poppy represents a lost soul.
